Global Innovation: A Look Back at Presgo Gateways at Smart City Expo World Congress 2025

In November 2025, Malaysia’s digital transformation took a bold step onto the international stage. iData was a key participant in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2025 held in Barcelona, Spain. As the world’s largest and most influential gathering for urban innovation, this event provided the perfect platform to showcase how Malaysian technology solves real-world challenges.
Representing our nation at the Malaysia Pavilion alongside MDEC and other industry leaders was a significant milestone. It reflected our growing reputation as a leader in smart city and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology on a global scale.
Showcasing Malaysian Innovation to the World
During our time in Barcelona, we presented a full digital ecosystem of tools designed to modernize urban living. Our showcase focused on live demonstrations of AI solutions that are already changing how Malaysian cities work.
Key highlights from our exhibition included:
AI Solutions Display: We featured our core technologies including AIRES, AI COE, and AI TRAVEL BUDDY.
Live Dashboard Interaction: Visitors at the Malaysia Pavilion interacted with the ezEYE portal, which featured real-time data.
Interactive Demonstrations: We used specialized handheld devices to show international partners how our live applications and system interfaces function in tandem.
Bringing Global Insights Home
Participating in SCEWC 2025 allowed us to match our local success with global trends. In our work leading up to the event, we saw how moving from manual systems to automated tracking can reduce operational overhead by 15%. Sharing these results in Barcelona allowed us to offer a proven blueprint for more efficient and sustainable cities to a global audience.
