Bridging Innovation and Academia at FKA ICE Day 2025
On 14 October 2025 (Tuesday), Presgo Gateways Sdn. Bhd., through its flagship brand iData, was honoured to participate in the 3rd Industry–Community Engagement Day (FKA ICE Day 2025) organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The event provided an excellent avenue for industry and academia to converge, exchange knowledge and explore collaborative opportunities in advancing Smart City innovation, artificial intelligence applications and digital governance initiatives.
The program began with a Welcoming Speech by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Nor Eliza bt Alias, Program Director of FKA ICE Day 2025, Faculty of Civil Engineering UTM, followed by an Appreciation Speech by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Rosli bin Hainin, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering UTM. The event was officially launched through an Opening Speech by Professor Ts. Dr. Edy Tonnizam Mohamad, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development) UTM, who highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration between academia and industry in shaping Malaysia’s technological and sustainable future.
The event brought together more than 200 participants, including students, lecturers, researchers and professionals from 13 industry partners. At our booth, iData showcased cutting-edge innovations in Smart City development, AI-powered enforcement, digital licensing and governance technologies, demonstrating how digital transformation can enhance urban management and service delivery.
Beyond the exhibits, FKA ICE Day fostered knowledge exchange, hands-on demonstrations and networking opportunities, strengthening the bridge between academic insight and real-world innovation. Through this collaboration, iData by Presgo continues its mission to empower Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda while nurturing the next generation of AI and Smart City professionals.
